He has produced many Hindi films, including Haseena Maan Jaayegi (1999), Jaanwar (2001), Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006) and Tere Naam (2003). He has also owned the film distribution company Brilliant Movies. Khurana is also involved in the real estate business and owns a chain of multiplexes and malls across India and abroad. Khurana attended Mumbai University, where he studied commerce. Around that time, his brother introduced him to Bollywood actors Jeetendra and Shatrughan Sinha. He was also acquainted with Rajesh Khanna, who introduced him to music director, Kalyanji Anandji. Khurana got his start in the film industry when he met producer Mukul Amrohi. Khurana took charge of distribution for Mukul's films, while Amrohi focused on production. He then partnered with actor-director Feroz Khan and formed Super Cassettes Industries Ltd., which was responsible for distribution of their films. He produced Sajjan Kumar's "Gham-e-Azam" (1966) and followed it up with "Shamas" (1967). Khurana's first film as director was "Dharti Ke Lal" (1978). Khurana reportedly invested $2 million in his own film, "Sarapanja" (1984), the only film he directed. The film was a hit but he failed to make profits on the investment.
